Handwoven from fibers that have clothed Himalayan royalty for centuries — now available to anyone who values the extraordinary.
The Chyangra goat
lives above 4,000 metres
Up in the thin air of the high Himalayas — above 13,000 feet — the Chyangra mountain goat grows an extraordinarily fine undercoat to survive brutal winters. Each spring, herders comb out this fleece by hand. Each fiber measures just 12–16 microns, making it among the finest natural fibers on earth.
The fiber is then cleaned, hand-spun, and woven on traditional wooden looms in Nepal — a craft passed down through generations. At Sarayou Threads we work directly with these artisan families, and for every fifty purchases we contribute to orphanages, homeless shelters, and elderly individuals.
